Problem
During inspection, the technician identified that both wooden gates were in poor condition. The gate frames were bent, hinges and slats were damaged, and several pieces of gate hardware were missing. In addition, both gate latches were damaged, preventing proper securing of the gates and creating a safety and access concern.
Challenge
The damage affected multiple components across two gates, not a single isolated issue. Structural misalignment required careful handling to ensure proper gate function after repair. The repair needed to restore security, durability, and usability without replacing the entire gate system.
Solution
The technician performed comprehensive gate repairs, addressing all identified deficiencies. Work included correcting bent gate frames, repairing or replacing damaged hinges and slats, installing missing gate hardware, and replacing both damaged latches. All components were properly aligned and secured to ensure smooth gate operation and long-term reliability. Throughout the process, photos were taken before, during, and after repairs to document the condition and completed work.
Results:
By December 21, 2025, both wooden gates were fully restored to proper working condition. The gates opened and closed smoothly, all hardware was securely installed, and functional latches were in place to ensure proper security. Final inspection confirmed the repairs met site requirements, and client sign-off was obtained with no further issues reported.
