Problem
On December 25, 2025, at 11:10 AM, NMC Mechanical received a service request from DaVita Group reporting an active leak beneath a sink at one of their clinic locations. The store manager indicated that water was leaking from the sink pipe, raising concerns about potential water damage and sanitation issues.
Challenge
Upon arrival and inspection, the technician identified that the leak was originating from beneath the fixture. Further examination revealed that the P-trap had cracked and failed, preventing proper drainage. Due to the extent of the damage, the existing P-trap could not be repaired and required full replacement along with the necessary mounting hardware to ensure a secure and leak-free connection.
Solution
The technician shut off the water supply to the affected sink and safely removed the damaged P-trap and associated hardware. A new P-trap and mounting components were installed according to plumbing standards. All connections were properly aligned and tightened to restore correct drainage. The system was then tested under normal operating conditions to verify proper flow and confirm that no leaks were present.
Results:
The sink drainage system was fully restored and operated properly with no leaks observed. The repair was completed within the scheduled time frame, and the area beneath the sink was left clean and dry. The clinic manager, Cesar, reviewed the completed work and provided client sign-off, confirming satisfaction with the repair.
