Dumpster Enclosure Gate Repair
Problem
Store management reported damage to the wooden dumpster enclosure, including a compromised gate, and requested that the enclosure be secured with a chain and lock to prevent unauthorized access and improve site safety.
Challenge
The far-right gate had been struck, resulting in a cracked and unstable support post at its base. The repair required structural work, including post replacement and concrete installation, which could not be completed in a single visit due to curing time. Additional security enhancements were needed while preserving the integrity of the existing enclosure.
Solution
Technician Adam Clark conducted a site inspection and determined that the damaged post required full replacement. The repair was completed over multiple visits to ensure proper installation and long-term durability.
Actions taken:
- Removed the damaged support post
- Installed a new replacement post and set it in fresh concrete
- Allowed adequate curing time for structural stability
- Reinstalled and restored the gate using new and reusable materials
- Reinforced the enclosure structure
- Installed chains and locks on both sides of the enclosure to secure the dumpster area
- All work was documented with before, during, and after photos.
Results:
By December 23, 2025, the dumpster enclosure was fully restored and secured, with a stable gate, reinforced structure, and controlled access. Final inspection confirmed the enclosure was safe, durable, and functioning as intended. Client sign-off was obtained at 3:37 PM, and no further service was required.
