Stocking Door Structural Repair
Problem
Store management reported that the stocking door had been struck and bent by a distribution center (DC) driver, preventing the doors from closing properly and compromising the security of the building.
Challenge
The stocking door sustained significant structural damage that affected alignment, hinge stability, and secure closure. The repair required structural reinforcement and precise adjustments to restore full functionality and ensure the door could be securely closed and locked without replacement.
Solution
Technician Jared conducted a detailed inspection and completed a full repair to restore the door to proper working condition.
Actions taken:
- Installed new reinforcement brackets to correct door alignment
- Installed a metal support bar to restore structural integrity
- Re-secured and reinforced the bottom hinge for proper door operation
- Adjusted the door to ensure smooth opening and closing
- Verified secure closure and locking functionality
- All work was documented with before, during, and after photos and reviewed with store management upon completion.
Results:
The stocking door was fully repaired and restored to normal operation. The door now closes properly, locks securely, and meets building security requirements. The repair eliminated the need for replacement, restored full functionality, and ensured the store remained safe and operational. Client sign-off was obtained, and no further service was required.
