Problem
The pharmacy sink was not functioning properly due to severely calcified supply lines. Upon inspection, the sink components and internal supply lines showed extensive mineral buildup, restricting water flow and preventing normal operation.
Challenge
The calcification had caused internal damage to the supply lines, making removal difficult and increasing the risk of additional component failure during disassembly. Care was required to avoid damaging surrounding plumbing and to minimize downtime for pharmacy operations.
Solution
The technician safely shut off the water supply and removed the damaged sink and all three calcified supply lines. New components were installed, including replacement supply lines and sink connections. All fittings were properly secured, and the system was tested to ensure leak-free operation and correct water pressure.
Results:
Water service to the pharmacy sink was fully restored. The sink operated normally with proper flow and no leaks. The work was completed within the scheduled time frame, and the area was left clean and operational for staff use.
