Jewelry Cabinet Glass Replacement

Problem

On October 3, 2025, NMC Mechanical received an emergency service request from TJ MAXX #1450 regarding damaged glass on a corner jewelry cabinet at 2441 Foothill Blvd, Rock Springs, WY 82901. Store management reported that floor cleaning contractors performing strip-and-wax operations accidentally struck the cabinet, causing the glass to crack and shatter in the lower corner, creating an immediate safety hazard for customers and staff.

Challenge

The challenge was to eliminate the safety risk promptly by removing the shattered glass and restoring the cabinet to a safe, presentable condition. The repair needed to be completed efficiently without disrupting store operations while ensuring the replacement glass was securely installed and the area fully cleaned.

Solution

Technician Ivan was assigned to the glass repair and arrived on-site at 10:52 AM, checking in with store management before starting work. A full inspection confirmed that the damaged glass required full replacement. The shattered glass was carefully removed to prevent injury. The cabinet frame was prepared for the new installation. A new replacement glass pane was installed and securely fitted. The cabinet was stabilized and inspected for safety. The work area was thoroughly cleaned to eliminate any remaining hazards.

Results:

The jewelry cabinet was fully restored to a safe and secure condition. The service was completed at 3:00 PM, with client sign-off obtained at 3:02 PM. The safety hazard was completely mitigated, store operations continued without interruption, and no return visit was required.
